ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Nicolaus seemed to accomplish many things in his life, but wasn't noticed as much as he should've been. Personally, I think that him going to school is a huge accomplishment especially in the 1400's. He had studied mathematics, astronomy, medicine, and many more. He had spent a lot of time observing planet movement and did many things for his uncle, Lucas Watzelrode, for example Nicolaus was his uncles secretary. During his lifetime he even became a priest, in 1497. Later in 1503 Nicolaus earns his doctorate in canon law. Nicolaus is most known for discovering that the sun is the middle of the universe (Heliocentric Theory) and the planets and stars revolve around it. This discovery shattered the Geocentric Theory, the thought that the Earth was the center of the universe and everything revolved around it. Nicolaus had wrote a book but it wasn't published until 1543, the year he died. Because his discovery would have him facing execution and rejection, it wasn't published for a long time.
